We want to thank you for choosing PostNord as your service provider and for trusting us during the past year.
We have grown PostNord's pick-up point network to the second largest in Finland, and by the end of 2024 the network will include more than 2,500 points. In addition, we continue the strong expansion of Finland's largest outdoor parcel locker network and comprehensive service development. Our network of Lähiboksi lockers will cover more than 550 locations by the end of 2024.
We have increased the number of electric cars in our distribution fleet, and the use of biogas in heavy vehicles has also increased significantly. We have reduced our emissions by 35% from the 2020 level, and we will continue our activities aimed at reducing emissions next year as well. In the beginning of 2025, the first electric truck will start in the line haul transport between Helsinki and Turku.
In order to continue to ensure the best possible service and at the same time meet the increasing costs, we have to make changes to our pricing.
The increase in the costs of the transport sector has continued, and because of this we will adjust our pricing from November 1, 2024. The cost level is affected by, among other things, increased personnel costs, energy costs and repair and maintenance costs.
Please see the table below for a breakdown of the average rate increase by service. When adjusting our service rates, we have considered your transportation volumes over the past 12 months.

Our fuel surcharge will continue to be updated each month according to fuel cost development. To check the surcharge, please visit our website at postnord.fi/en/sending/fuel-and-sulphur-surcharge. Our fuel surcharge is currently 4,3 percent for parcel services and 6,3 percent for freight and pallet services (9/2024).
