Confetti brings the party feeling
Confetti is Finland's oldest and largest baking and party supplies store, with a selection of over 4,000 products to create a festive atmosphere. PostNord delivers the products to consumers and business customers throughout Finland.
Confetti was founded in 2006, when the founding couple Terhi and Petri Tuomela lived in America and Canada and saw there baking and party supplies there that were not available on the Finnish market. A couple of years later, the company, which operated as an online store, also established brick-and-mortar stores in Espoo and Tuusula, and the online store began to grow. Today, Confetti is part of a large international chain owned by Dr. Oetker.
PostNord delivers Confetti's products in Finland to both consumers and business customers. Services include home parcels, pickup parcels and pallet deliveries. Confetti values the reliability and geographical coverage of PostNord's deliveries, and it has been possible to eliminate other suppliers from the delivery options, as PostNord delivers all over Finland. In recent years, the number of pickup points has increased significantly, especially thanks to the Lähiboksi network. "The new Lähiboksi parcel lockers have really opened the game up, you can get parcels of various sizes and to many places, even outdoors." Confetti's Vice CEO Sanna Partanen says.
Confetti is still looking for growth and the next step is to expand into the Swedish market. The online store has been separated into consumer and wholesale online stores and Sweden is specifically entered as a wholesale store and deliveries are larger in size than within Finland. "Sweden is a natural way for us to start exporting. Familiar and safe. When you know that PostNord has an extensive network and operates well in Sweden, you don't have to worry when you start trading in a new market," says Partanen.
